In this WebridesTV video, we meet Richie Valles in the beginning as he is rolling out for the 2007 Ink and Iron show in Long Beach.
The Ink and Iron Tattoo Festival is an annual gathering of some of the best tattoo artists in the world, at the Queen Mary. Many participants of this show opt to get their bodies tattooed or get married at this event. Besides the tattoos and marriage ceremonies, there is a large car show that attracts many classic and hot rod drivers.
Richie has a custom green El Camino that he wants to put in the show at the Ink and Iron show. He has shaved all the emblems and door handles off of all the fenders and door but has left the chrome stripping. This El Camino has a 327 engine with a 350 transmission. The Chevrolet El Camino is a coupe with a bed similar to a pickup truck. It started its production in 1959 and ended in 1987.
The 327 Cubic Inch Chevrolet Small Block Engine had its debut in 1962 and has a bore x stroke of 4 inches x 3.25 inches. This engine has had different power ratings; from 250 horsepower all the way up to 375 horsepower. Noteable cars that had this engine was the 1963 – 1965 Chevrolet Corvette as well as the 1967 – 1975 Chevrolet Camaro.
He has decided to go with an air-bag suspension on his El Camino which gives him the freedom to lower and raise his car’s ride height (which he shows off at multiple points during the video). Richie also has reupholstered the interior in a custom green suede color which is actually 3 different shades. He has included silver in some of the interior trims.
Richie wishes to look around the show and get some ideas and maybe get tattooed. The Rod and Kulture Judge tells us why he picks Richie’s car. Will Richie win the show? His friends think that he has built another winner. Will the judges agree? Only way to find out is by watching this video.
